Best Practices Forum: A Good Solid Start

The Best Practices Forum started yesterday with a turnout that was much more than expected! The posters only arrived two days before hand and the pop-up only worked for 50 of AVANS employees. DIF ran the pop-up for one more day (thanks), but that also was on the day of the event!

Johan Pape from AM, Den Bosch represented the academy involved in this project.

Of Course there was plenty to eat and the discussion was not at all slowed down. While there was strong opinions for and against the topic, however; the exchange of ideas lead to a good overview for all to see the pro's and con's of Facebook and its role in education. Eerste bijeenkomst met studenten rond Social Software

Gisteren, 19 juni werd de eerste bijeenkomst gehouden met studenten ASIS in het kader van het project Social Software. De aanwezige studenten, die in september op stage naar het buitenland gaan (China, Hong Kong, nog niet bekend maar ergens in Europa) hadden zich vrijwillig aangemeld als deelnemer aan het ASIS goes weblog experiment.
In deze bijeenkomst, waar Joost Frencken als stagecoordinator de aftrap van deed, stond het gebruik van weblogs voor reflectie en feedback centraal. Na een korte inleiding over de doelen, verwachtingen en werkwijze startte het praktische onderdeel van de middag. Al snel bleek dat het hands-on karakter probleemloos werd opgepakt door de studenten. Binnen no-time verschenen er weblogs die aan elkaar werden gekoppeld en werden er documenten opgeslagen in het Content System van Blackboard.




Het enthousiasme van de aanwezigen is ook duidelijk terug te zien in de foto's. Deze worden ook gebruikt in de presentatie 'Digital portfolios : from puppies to old crocodiles' die volgende week in Aarhus wordt gebruikt.
